CAR RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Rental Terms
The minimum rental charge is one day (24 hours period). The published rental rates is for Miri City area usage only, any areas outside of Miri City (Niah, Bintulu, Brunei etc.) will be subject to additional outstation charges.

Driving license
Minimum driver age: 20 years old.
The driver must hold a valid driver’s license for more than two years.

Deposit
Security deposit of RM300-RM1,000 will be charge on hirer.
The security deposit will be refunded. (Subject to the car is returned in good condition & no summon issued).

Chauffeur service
Chauffeur or driver services are available at additional costs. Please contact us to make arrangements.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver reduces the renter’s liability from the total cost of the damage to an excess amount, where applicable, unless the renter intentionally or at own fault causes the damage, the renter will have to pay the full amount of repair. If the renter accidentally causes serious damage to the vehicle under normal driving, you will be required to bear the penalty, as follows:

IMPORTANT WARNING
The company severely fined Deliberate damage to the vehicle caused by the action of alcohol or drugs, or negligence of the renter, such as carelessness, dozing off during driving, fatigue driving, sliding the phone, running recklessly, not driving with traffic signs, speeding, Dangerous or negligent driving, refuelling error, you will bear the full cost of serious car damage.
The insurance and CDW will not cover for damage due to negligence, tyre punctures and burst tyres, fuel errors, lack of electricity because of forgotten turned off electrical devices, loss or damage to the vehicle accessories.
The customer is reminded that under body and overhead damage is at their own risk at all time. All insurance is void if vehicles are driven on unsealed and unmade roads or surfaces.

Fuel policy
Renter are required to fill the fuel tank to where it was given, otherwise they will be charged for the fuel costs.

Smoking Policy
All vehicles are designated as non-smoking car. If violated the policy, cleaning fee may apply for up to RM250.

Vehicle Condition
Upon return, the car has to be in the same condition as when it was rented. Failing which, the renter will be liable for the cost of restoring the vehicle to it’s original condition.

Mandatory local fees
Customer is responsible for all tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets; parking and traffic fines; and any related administrative costs.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation must be notified 24 hours before the pick-up date. We reserve the right to charge full day rental for cancellation less than 24 hours. No refund will be given for hirer fails to show up (cancellation without notice).

Extension of Rental
If the required rental period needed to be extended beyond the agreed date, it is essential that TWT are being informed immediately and payment of extension are being made. Failure to comply will mean the renter is driving the vehicle illegally and we reserve the rights to report of loss or stolen vehicle to the authorities.
